I love that man, I think he's an awesome drummer. But I've just found out he worked in Avril Lavigne's last album. It really freaked me out. I mean... he can do so much better than working on a little brat's album. We all make mistakes.... right?.

I'm nowhere near being a fan of Avril's...but I went to her concert here, years ago (because Our Lady Peace were supporting) and that little girl actually has a awesome voice.
I like some of her songs and My Happy Ending always leaves me with a lump in my throat, but yeah...it's amazing how such a big voice can come out of such a little girl. And she can actually sing live.

I'm not saying she's a bad singer, I do like My Happy Ending and I'm With You quite a lot, but I'd rather listen to Blink than to Avril.... I just didn't like the idea of Travis drumming for Avril *lol*

Lol, well Travis seems like a nice guy, so if she came to him, he probably couldn't say no

Okay, I don't know the first thing about drumming nor about Avril. But doesn't she have most songs written for her? At least the music? I guess in that case, his inner artist was probably thinking for him. Such pop songs are usually written by professional song writers and of course, most musicians like the challenge of getting to play those.

I doubt they think of the image as much as we as the listeners do.

For what I know, she writes her music..... she makes a big deal about it "I play the guitar, uh I'm a tough rocker" hahaha. And for what I saw on that Avril thingie on TV. She gave him total freedom to do whatever he wanted with the drumming. I have to research in which songs he worked in so I can give my point of view about it. xD
