Chester was going to wear a black suit with a red tie and a red handkerchief in his breast pocket. They had talked about him wearing a tuxedo, but he wasn’t having it. It may be his wedding and he should look nice, but he didn’t like the look of tuxedos and there was no way, he was ever wearing one.
He wasn’t sure what to do with his hair, though. He knew that Sasha was completely in love with his mohawk and especially the red one, but he wasn’t sure if it was too much, for a wedding.
They ordered florists, to decorate the garden and the house with a mix of white and red orchids, roses and lilies.
Sasha had taken care of everything, concerning the food, because she didn’t want Chester to spend a ton of money on food that wouldn’t get eaten, anyway. So she ordered nice, but not extravagant food and beverages. It was going to be a buffet, because neither of them wanted to be forced to sit at a table all day/night and they wanted their guests to be comfortable, as well.
A week before the wedding, Sasha’s mother and step dad flew over to stay with them. They had not been too fond of Chester, at first, mainly because they had seen him as this big rock star who’d have all sorts of abuse issues.
Once they had gotten to know him, they had completely fallen in love with him, though..
Sasha had told them about Chester’s house but her mother’s jaw dropped, when they pulled up in front of it.
‘Wow!’ She exclaimed as she was staring at the house. Sasha obviously had to speak Danish to her mom and step dad, as their English wasn’t good enough, yet, to have real conversations. They understood enough, though, to be able to get through the ceremony, without an interpreter.
Chester walked out of the front door.
‘Hi! And welcome to L.A.’ He said, walking over to them and hugging them.
‘Thanks.’ Frank said, very carefully as he was not sure of his own English skills, although they weren’t as bad as he thought.
Sasha’s mother just smiled at Chester, and disappeared into his embrace. She was so tiny and Chester was towering over her.
Her mom and step dad hadn’t seen Tyler, yet so the first thing Sasha did, was take them to the nursery where Tyler was sleeping in his crib.
‘Oh, he’s wonderful!’ Her mother exclaimed. ‘He looks a lot like Chester, doesn’t he?’
‘Yes, he does. I just know he’s going to be as handsome as his dad.’ Sasha replied, looking at Chester who had joined them in the nursery.
He walked over and put his arm around her and looked at his son. He could not have been prouder at that very moment.
Sasha’s mom picked Tyler up, carefully so she wouldn’t wake him up and gave him a gentle kiss on his forehead, then put him back down.
The next week was stressful and Sasha was happy to have her mother there, to look after Tyler. She would bathe him, change him, play with him and feed him, when Sasha or Chester didn’t have the time.
Sometimes, at night, when she thought Chester and Sasha looked completely drained, she would even move his crib into the guestroom, she and Frank slept in, so they could have some privacy.
She had also done this, on the last night before the wedding.
Chester lay next to Sasha in bed. He was on his back, staring up in the ceiling. She looked at him, with a worried look.
‘Are you okay, bunny?’ She asked him, taking his hand.
‘Oh, I’m fine. I just can’t help but be a little nervous about tomorrow. I mean…tomorrow at this time, we’ll be husband and wife. Doesn’t that freak you out, a little?’ He rambled a little and she couldn’t help but chuckle at him.
‘Naw, it doesn’t really freak me out that we’ll be husband and wife. What does freak me out a little, is how I’m going to wear my hair and will you like the dress and stuff like that.’ She stated, playing with his fingers.
Sasha had grown her hair, ever since she met Chester. It had been extremely short, when she met him and she was getting sick of it, so even though she had looked like a pile of hay at times, she had let it grow and it was now to the middle of her back.
‘You could be wearing sweats and a bucket on your head, and I’d still think you’re beautiful.’ He said dreamily.
She laughed. ‘That’s so cliché, Chester. Sweet, but cliché. But don’t worry, I won’t be wearing any of that.’
‘I know, but it’s the night before my d**n wedding. I’m allowed to be a little cliché.’ He defended himself.
‘Now, have you thought about how you want my hair to look tomorrow? I booked hours at the f**king salon, so I’d have time to do a little of everything.’ He still looked like he had a pile of black hay on his head.
‘Mohawk!’ She exclaimed. ‘And I don’t care if it’s not appropriate for a wedding. I love when you have a mohawk.’
‘Mohawk it is, then. Any idea as to the details?’ He was so scared that he’d come up with something crazy, if she let him decide for himself.
‘Oh, don’t play that with me, man. I’m not going to dictate how you’ll have your hair done. I never have and I never will. You do, whatever you want.’ She said as she started to plant little kisses on the side of his neck and near his earlobe.
He gasped a little and bend his head to the left, to give her better access. It seemed to him like it had been ages, since they’ve made love. They had just been too tired at night, after days….well, months of planning the wedding.
Of course, it hadn’t been as long as he thought and he knew it, but he wanted her so bad that he could barely think straight.
‘Okay, I’ll think of something cool so you’ll fall in love with me, all over again when you see me.’ He said in between gasps of pleasure, as she had moved up and was kissing his chest and licking his nipples.
‘Okay.’ She said against his chest, not really paying attention to what he was saying anymore.
She moved down and kissed his stomach, as she was taking off his boxers. She let out a little noise of excitement when she saw how hard he was.
She took off her panties and then turned her attention back to his length and started licking it, extremely gentle.
He gasped and buried his fingers in her hair. After a few seconds, he made her come back up to him and found her lips, which he kissed hungrily.
He then grabbed her and rolled over, so she was now under him. She let out a surprised noise and looked into his amazing eyes, then found his lips again and kissed him. He was resting between her legs and she tried to help him enter her.
‘Nuh uh.’ He mumbled and started to kiss her chest and slowly moving downwards. He licked her to the first orgasm of the night, but she knew it wouldn’t be the last.
When he finally entered her, she was so aroused, she thought she was going to come immediately. She let out a moan of extreme passion, just like he did and she wanted him to move as fast as he possibly could, inside her.
He held back, though, moving extremely slow and after a while, she felt him starting to tense up, as he was slowly reaching his climax.
She felt her orgasm explode inside her and then she felt another one. Or was it the same that just went on for that long? She couldn’t tell, and she didn’t care because at that moment, she felt like she was finally melting into one, with him.
He screamed, as he felt his orgasm explode and he, also, felt like it went on forever and that they had finally melted together.
He collapsed on top of her, his breath extremely irregular and she wrapped her legs and arms around him, still with him inside of her.
‘Where the hell have you learned that?’ She asked, completely exhausted and still trying to catch her breath.
‘Learned what?’ He rolled off her and took her in his arms. He was smiling like a little boy, getting his favorite toy for Christmas.
‘That was the most amazing thing, I’ve ever experienced in my life. You’ve never made love to me like that, before.’ She cuddled up to him.
‘Well, I don’t know. I just felt like it.’ He shrugged.
‘Oh you should feel like that, more often.’ She said as she nodded.
‘Maybe I will in the future, Mrs.-Bennington-to-be.’ He gave her a kiss and they fell asleep in each other’s arms, on the last night before their wedding.
The wedding ceremony was at 5pm and the next day, Sasha and Chester got up at 8am. Sasha had an appointment at the hair salon at 10, along with her bridesmaids and Chester had one at 11, but before that Sasha needed to go to the dress shop with her bridesmaids and pick up her gown and the dresses for the bridesmaids.
Anna and Christine were Sasha’s bridesmaids and they showed up at 9.30, so they could pick up the dresses with Sasha and go to the salon, to get their hair and makeup done.
Mike was going to be Chester’s best man and he arrived with Anna and Christine, to help Chester with his outfit and to go help him figure out what to do with his hair, at the salon.
Chester walked into the master bedroom, which was to be Sasha, Anna and Christine’s dressing room for the day.
Sasha was putting on a sweat suit.
‘Hey hotness.’ He smiled at her. ‘Are you just about ready to get married?’
‘I’m sooo nervous, but other than that, yes, I’m ready to become Mrs. Bennington.’ She looked a little stressed out, he thought.
‘Don’t worry. Everything will be fine. As long as we end up, being married by the end of the day, nothing else matters.’ He held her in his arms and kissed her forehead.
‘Yeah, I know. But still. I’m the bride. I’m supposed to be nervous.’ She said, kissing his neck.
‘And that’s fine. As long as you don’t run out on me or something.’ He laughed.
‘Oh that will never happen. I’ve been ready for this for a long time.’ She said, as she moved away from him, to get her purse.
‘Now, remember…when we both return from the salon, you and Mike have to stay in the pool room. You can’t see me before the ceremony. It’s bad luck. I will stay up here, until the ceremony and you cannot come talk to me. If you want to talk to me, call me on the cell or write me a text, but do not come up here.’ She gave him a strict look.
‘Don’t worry, hotness. You’ll be home before me, so you just make sure that you’re out of sight, when I come back and there’ll be no problems.’ He smiled at her and blew her a kiss.
‘I’ll see you around 5 o’clock, babe.’ She left to go to the salon.
Chester ran downstairs to find Mike. He was out of breath, when he finally found him out in the garden, walking around.
‘Mike! I need your help!’ He yelled.
Mike turned around and raised his eyebrows. ‘Dude, calm down. What’s up? Don’t tell me you forgot the rings?!’ He had a worried look on his face.
‘No, it’s not the rings.’ Chester was trying to catch his breath. ‘I need you to help with this song, I want to sing for Sasha, after the ceremony!’
‘Song? What song?’ Mike looked confused. ‘And why do you need my help?’
‘Well, because I need you to play the keyboard. You know how she loves the band Daughtry? Y’know, the dude who didn’t win American Idol and she was all upset about it?’ Chester was speaking insanely fast.
‘Oh. Yeah, I know. He’s actually pretty talented, that Chris dude.’ Mike stated.
‘Well, I want to sing their song ‘Home’ to her when the ceremony is over. I listened to it and realized that that’s exactly how I feel when I return from tour. I just hate that I didn’t think of writing it. But yeah, will you help me?’ Chester could barely breathe, he was speaking so fast.
‘Of course I will. But dude, you have to calm down. And we’re in a hurry. You have to be at the salon in an hour and we haven’t practiced at all. And you need to warm up your voice and everything. Why didn’t you ask me this a few days ago?’ Mike was getting a little stressed out now.
‘Yeah,’ Chester started. ‘I thought that if you could stay here and learn it on keyboard, I’ll go the salon and be back as soon as possible. I haven’t had a chance to call you, with all the madness around this house, lately. But I figured that…well, you’re so talented, dude so you should be able to learn it pretty fast, right? And f**k warming up my voice. I don’t do that on tour, so it’ll be fine.’
Mike blushed. ‘Thanks, man. I’ll give it my best shot, anyway. Where’s their CD? Downstairs in the studio?’
‘Yeah, I figured we could go down there right now and start…and then I’ll go to the salon, which is only a 5 minute drive away and then come back and hopefully we’ll be able to practice it a few times, before the ceremony.’ Chester had calmed down a little.
They went downstairs and put on the CD, while Mike set up the keyboard and started to play some of the notes.
‘This is not a complicated song, Chaz. I should be able to learn it pretty quick. Now, let’s hear the vocals. Chris’ voice is very different from yours so I don’t think you should try and sing it, like he does. Just…sing it and we’ll take it from there.’ Mike stated.
‘Okay, then.’ Chester said and went into the vocal booth.
They practiced for about 45 minutes, until Chester had to go get his hair done. Mike stayed in the studio, perfecting his way of playing the song.
Chester was singing to himself in the car, trying to get the notes right and when he returned from the salon, he and Mike had time to practice the song another five times or so.
Around four o’clock, the guests started to arrive and when they were all there, 25 people were roaming around the garden.
Chester had just finished getting ready, when Mike and Christine walked in.
‘Dude, you look smokin’ Mike stated, as he walked in and saw his friend all dressed up.
‘Yeah, bro. You really look hot.’ Christine agreed.
‘Thanks you guys. You don’t think the hair is over the top?’ Chester was a little nervous.
‘Other people may think so, but I’m sure Sasha will think it’s f**king perfect.’ Christine said.
‘Well, that’s all that matters. I don’t care what other people think, as long as she likes it.’ Chester said strongly.
Mike put his arm around Chester’s shoulder and squeezed it a little.
‘You ready to go get married to your hotness, dude?’ He was smiling widely.
‘I’m more than ready, man. Let’s go.’ Chester said, his voice sounding a little nervous.
When Chester walked into the garden, everyone gasped at how good he looked. His parents and Sasha’s was sitting on the right side, front row, his mom had Tyler in her arms. He had Mike by his side and his band mates had gotten the seats on the front low, left side with their spouses.
He looked around, smiled at everyone and felt the butterflies in his stomach grow into the size of eagles.
He was finally marrying Sasha. He could hardly believe it, even though his stomach was telling him that it was, indeed, the truth.
He and Mike took their places in front of the altar and it seemed to him, it took Sasha, her step dad and the bridesmaids forever to come downstairs.
Sasha also had butterflies in her stomach and she was a little nauseated. She was standing at the top of the stairs with Frank at her side and Anna and Christine behind her, ready to walk down and see her man.
They started their descent from the stairs and Sasha actually felt her stomach relax more and more, the further down they got.
As they turned around the corner of the stairwell, she caught a glimpse of Chester, waiting for her in the garden, next to Mike and she gasped a little.
‘You okay?’ Frank asked her.
‘Yes, I’ve never been more okay. I just caught a glimpse of him in the garden and he looks stunning.’ She said with a smile on her face.
Frank and Sasha strode out of the French doors that led to the garden, and when Sasha saw Chester, the tears welled up in her eyes from all the emotions she was feeling for him.
He stood there, next to Mike and she couldn’t remember ever seeing him look so nervous, yet proud at the same time.
He was wearing his pitch black suit, with the bright red tie and the red handkerchief and he had gotten his red mohawk back, which he knew she loved more than any of the hairstyles he had ever had.
He took her breath away, just by the way he looked and as she caught his beautiful brown eyes, the tears started running down her cheeks.
Chester gasped when he saw her walk through the French doors. She was stunning! She was wearing a white dress with a thin red ribbon around her tiny waist. The dress’ neckline wasn’t really a neckline because it was wrapped around her shoulders, only just covering up her tattoo on her left upper arm. It was made of silk and had tiny red roses sewed onto the skirt.
Most of her hair was put up on her head, but she had thin strings of hair flowing down her neck and face. The veil was in front of her beautiful face, but he could still see her eyes, through it.
Tears welled up in his eyes, as she smiled at him. He could see she was crying, too. He smiled at her and felt Mike’s arm squeeze his shoulders, as he said ‘She looks beautiful, man.’
Chester could only nod because he didn’t trust his voice at that moment.
As she walked up and stood next to him and he took her hand, he thought he would burst with happiness and he watched as the tears of joy were running down her face.
They had decided to write their own vows and the minister gestured at Chester to start. He took a deep breath and turned to face her.
‘Sasha, I don’t really know how to describe my feelings on this day.’ He started, his voice cracking up a little.
‘I feel like I’ve been touched by an angel. You. When you came into my life, I was in a bad place and not feeling very good about myself and I found a friend in you that I had needed for a long time. When I first kissed you, it felt like it was my destiny to kiss you at that very moment. Of course, you were the mature and sensible one….’ People laughed.
‘..and you stopped me from making an even bigger mistake than I had already made. You respected my life enough to stop me and make me re-think the whole situation. Then you went home and waited six f**kin…sorry, six long months for me to sort everything out and make my decision as to what would happen with the two of us. For that, I will always be extremely grateful.’ The tears were now streaming down his cheeks and she thought he had never looked cuter.
He continued, not caring about the tears anymore. ‘On this day, with all the people we love, surrounding us, I promise you that I will worship you forever and stay by your side in every situation, good or bad. I love you more than life itself, hotness, I promise to keep you, and our son, Tyler, safe and happy at all times. It will now become my sole purpose in life.’ He said and then he added ‘Well that and my music, of course.’ People laughed.
Sasha looked at him and laughed through her tears. Then she started her vows, with her voice cracking up a little in the beginning, as well.
‘Chester. My bunny.’ She heard Rob chuckle in the background. ‘You’re the most important person in my life. Well, other than Tyler, of course.’ They both smiled. ‘When I first went on tour with Linkin Park, I had the biggest crush on you. After a while, it grew into something more but I kept denying it, until the night that you kissed me for the first time. You were so gentle and sweet to me, but as you said, I knew that we couldn’t go further with it at that time. The six months I waited for you, were the worst six months of my life and I remember how excruciating it was, when you tried to tell me what your decision was. When you finally told me that you wanted to be with me, I could not believe how lucky I was. I went back to being a little star struck at that moment and couldn’t believe that Chester Bennington of Linkin Park had just told me that he actually wanted to be my boyfriend!’ That made people laugh.
‘There have been hard times, but mostly there have been wonderful times. I won’t deny that I don’t love the touring part of being with you, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make, as long as you return to me when the tours are over. Chester, the point I’m taking forever to make here, is that you’re the love of my life and I never want to be without you. I’ve always said that if I ever found a man, who’d look at me, the way Johnny Cash looked at June Carter, I would never ever let him go. Well, I’ve finally found my Johnny and I have no plans of ever letting you go. I’m yours forever.’ She ended her speech.
The minister said something that neither Chester nor Sasha heard much of, because they were disappearing into each other’s eyes.
When he told Chester ‘You may kiss your wife’, he pulled up her veil, took her in his arms and French kissed her in front of everyone.
Everyone was wiping their eyes and clapped as Chester leaned her backwards and kissed her even deeper.
Mike poked Chester. ‘Dude, save that for the wedding-night.’ He laughed and Chester finally let Sasha back up and looked into her eyes.
‘Hi, Mrs. Bennington.’ He said with a wide smile on his face.
‘Hi, Mr. Bennington.’ She said and grinned at him like a schoolgirl.
After about half an hour of people congratulating them, Chester nodded at Mike and he went to sit by the keyboard.
Sasha looked confused. ‘What are you guys up to, now?’ She asked and looked at Chester.
Chester pointed to a chair behind her. ‘Sit down, hotness. I have a surprise for you. Well, Mike and I do.’ He got up next to Mike and grabbed the microphone, as Sasha sat on the chair.
‘Yo!’ He yelled into the microphone. ‘Can I have your attention, please? Now, you all know how much I love Sasha, my hotness. But she spoke about the touring and I don’t think I ever told her how I feel when I’m on tour. I miss her more than anything and can’t wait to go back home to her. Now, I did not write a song about this, sadly. But a different band did. A band that I know Sasha loves. I’m going to sing this song for my wife; it’s called ’Home’ and was written by a band named Daughtry.’
Sasha’s eyes welled up with tears again, as Chester’s mom put Tyler in her arms. She knew the lyrics by heart and moved her lips, soundless, as Chester sang.
“I’m staring out into the night.
Trying to hide the pain.
I’m going to the place where love
And feeling good don’t ever cost a thing.
And the pain you feel’s a different kind of pain.
I’m going home
To the place where I belong
And where your love has always been enough for me
I’m not running from
No, I think you’ve got me all wrong
I don’t regret this life I chose for me
But these places and these faces are getting old
So I’m going home
I’m going home
The miles are getting longer, it seems
The closer I get to you
I’ve not always been the best man or friend for you
But your love remains true
And I don’t know why
You always seem to give me another try
I’m going home
To the place where I belong
And where your love has always been enough for me
I’m not running from
No, I think you’ve got me all wrong
I don’t regret this life I chose for me
But these places and these faces are getting old
Be careful what you wish for
‘cause you just might get it all
You just might get it all
And then some you don’t want
Be careful what you wish for
‘cause you just might get it all
You just might get it all
I’m going home
To the place where I belong
And where your love has always been enough for me
I’m not running from
No, I think you’ve got me all wrong
I don’t regret this life I chose for me
But these places and these faces are getting old
I said these places and these face are getting old
So I’m going home
I’m going home”
Sasha’s cheeks were wet with tears, when he was finished. He had moved and was now standing in front of her and Tyler and he had tears in his eyes as well.
‘That was beautiful, bunny.’ She said, almost caressing him with her voice.
‘Thanks, hotness. It’s exactly how I feel when I’m on my way home to you.’ He said, his voice cracking. ‘I have to call Chris up and thank him for writing this song or something.’ He was smiling.
She disappeared into his brown eyes and whispered, ‘I love you.’
He put his forehead on hers and whispered, ‘I love you too, hotness.’
He wasn’t sure what to do with his hair, though. He knew that Sasha was completely in love with his mohawk and especially the red one, but he wasn’t sure if it was too much, for a wedding.
